For Excellence in the Profession and On-going Community Service - Zenny Sulit-Zoleta
Zenaida Sulit-Zoleta Zenaida, Zenny to family and friends, currently a PWUAASC Board of Director and the immediate past Governor of United Batanguenos of Southern California, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the Philippine Women's University.
She started out as a Staff nurse at the Queen of Angels Medical Center in Los Angeles. From there she moved on to become Head Nurse, then Supervisor of the Medical Center's Surgical Oncology Department and soon after as Manager. Her retirement after 33 years of service drove her active involvement, in social and civic organizations. Zenny currently owns and manages the Samantha Guest Home, a residential care facility for the elderly. She has garnered awards and commendations through the years. To mention a few: For Excellence in the Profession and On-going Community Service, by the Philippine Heritage Institute Millinium awards for outstanding Filipino-American Nurses; Commendations from Los Angeles City Mayor Antonio Villaraigoza and most recently, for Outstanding Leadership by the Philippine Heritage Institute International.
